Coastal Flood Advisory
Issued: 3:30 AM EDT Apr. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Coastal flood advisory in effect from midnight tonight to 3 am
EDT Friday...

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a coastal flood
advisory... which is in effect from midnight tonight to 3 am EDT
Friday.

* Location... the New Hampshire seacoast and the beaches of
southwest Maine to the south of Portland.

* Coastal flooding... the combination of high astronomical tides
and a light onshore wind will create a threat for splash over
and beach erosion near the time of high tide tonight. Some minor
coastal flooding is also possible.

* Timing... near the time of high tide tonight, 12:42 am in
Portland.

* Impacts... the potential exists for splash over and minor beach
erosion.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal flood advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the
shore.Timaround
