Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 6:32 AM CST Jan. 16, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon CST
today...

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon CST today.

* Timing... an initial band of light sleet and some snow and
freezing rain was pushing north. The main area of precipitation
arrives by late morning through the evening. There will be a
period of freezing rain before becoming mainly rain this
afternoon. Some freezing rain still is possible inland...
especially north and west of Milwaukee early this afternoon.

* Ice and snow accumulations... total ice accumulations of a
light glaze up to a few hundreths of an inch. Snow and sleet
accumulations less than one half inch.

* Impacts... slippery conditions on sidewalks... roads and bridges.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
