... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 1 am EST
Wednesday...

* locations... southern Vermont and the Berkshires

* hazard types... sleet and freezing rain... with some snow mixing
in as well.

* Additional snow and sleet accumulations... a coating to an inch.

* Additional ice accumulations... a trace to a tenth of an inch.

* Timing... a mixture of freezing rain and sleet will continue into
tonight. Some snow may mix in at times especially over the
higher terrain.

* Impacts... slush and ice covered roads will make for hazardous
travel. Sidewalks... driveways... and parking lots will be very
slippery. The combination of gusty winds and wet snowfall may
lead to some localized power outages as well.

* Winds... north 10 to 20 mph. Some gusts up to 35 mph are
possible... mainly over western New England.

* Temperatures... into mid 20 to lower 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
