... Winter Storm Warning in effect from midnight CST /11 PM MST/
tonight to 8 am CST /7 am MST/ Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a Winter
Storm Warning... which is in effect from midnight CST /11 PM MST/
tonight to 8 am CST /7 am MST/ Wednesday. The Winter Storm Watch
is no longer in effect.

* A mix of light freezing rain... sleet and snow will develop late
tonight into Tuesday morning. Precipitation should be in the
form of all snow by Tuesday afternoon.

* Snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches with the heaviest amounts
generally north of Highway 20.

* Northwest winds gusting up to 35 mph developing late Tuesday
morning and continuing through Tuesday night will create areas
of blowing and drifting snow.

* Hazardous driving conditions can be expected due to reduced
visiblity from falling and blowing snow. Slippery and snow
packed roads will be possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow...
sleet... and ice are expected or occurring. Strong winds are also
possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
