Issued: 7:03 AM CDT Sep. 25, 2016 – National Weather Service

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 1115 am CDT for Butler...
Wright... northern Black Hawk... Franklin and Bremer counties...

At 658 am CDT... local law enforcement officials reported numerous
Road closures across the warned area. While overnight rainfall was
not overly intense... it will likely slow any improvement that occurs
as water drains to larger streams and rivers.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Waterloo... Cedar Falls... Waverly... Hampton... Clarion... Allison...
Eagle Grove... Belmond... Sumner... Parkersburg... Denver... Ackley...
Clarksville... Tripoli... Shell Rock... Sheffield... Greene...
Aplington... Big Wall Lake and Waterloo Municipal Airport.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... country roads... farmland... and other low lying
spots.
