Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 3:29 PM CST Jan. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST
Wednesday...

* current trends... light snow was occurring over the area late
this afternoon... though a period of a rain and snow mix is
possible this evening before changing over to all snow later
tonight.

* Storm total snow accumulations... 2 to 6 inches of snow are
possible with localized higher snow amounts.

* Winds/visibility... northwest winds of 25 to 30 mph with gusts
as high as 40 mph are forecast during the day Wednesday.
Substantial visibility restrictions due to blowing and
drifting snow are likely.

* Impacts... roads are likely to become snow covered and very
slick. In addition, the snow and blowing snow will create
visibility restrictions leading to difficult travel...
particularly impacting the rush hour commute this evening as
well as Wednesday morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow and blowing
snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery
roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
