... Freezing Rain Advisory in effect until 10 am EDT this
morning...

The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a Freezing
Rain Advisory, which is in effect until 10 am EDT this morning.
This replaces the earlier Winter Weather Advisory.

* Ice accumulations... between a trace and one-tenth of an inch.

* Locations... the southern Tug Hill, Mohawk Valley, and western
Catskill regions.

* Hazard types... light freezing rain.

* Timing... this morning.

* Impacts... icing on untreated surfaces will create slippery
travel conditions.

* Winds... east 5 to 10 mph.

* Temperatures... in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Freezing Rain Advisory means that periods of freezing rain or
freezing drizzle will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.
