Watches & Warnings

Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 2:01 PM CDT Jul. 26, 2017 – National Weather Service

... The urban and small stream flood advisory remains in effect until
330 PM CDT for southern Colfax... southeastern Platte... southwestern
Dodge... northern Butler and northwestern Saunders counties...

At 159 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated showers and thunderstorms
moving through the advisory area, although rainfall rates were
significantly lower than they have been recently. This will continue
to cause minor urban flooding in the advisory area. Up to three
inches of rain have already fallen in some locations.

Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Columbus, Fremont, Schuyler, North Bend, Cedar Bluffs, Bellwood,
Inglewood, Morse Bluff, Octavia, Rogers, Linwood, Richland, Abie,
College View trailer park, Camp Pawnee, Shell Creek Elementary
School, Fremont lakes state Recreation Area, lake north Babcock
campground, Camp Eagle and Camp Cedars.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall may cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses
as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
