* at 649 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
warned area. 1 to 2 inches of rain have already fallen. Flash
flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lexington, Georgetown, Nicholasville, Winchester, Paris, Cynthiana,
Carlisle, Cardinal Hill, Cadentown and Fayette mall.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 are possible in the warned
area.

Saturday...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of east central Kentucky, north central Kentucky, and
south central Kentucky, including the following areas, in east
central Kentucky, Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette,
Franklin, Garrard, Harrison, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer,
Nicholas, Scott, and Woodford. In north central Kentucky,
Henry, LaRue, Nelson, Shelby, Spencer, and Washington. In
south central Kentucky, Adair, Allen, Barren, Casey, Clinton,
Cumberland, Edmonson, green, Hart, Lincoln, Marion, Metcalfe,
Monroe, Russell, Simpson, Taylor, and Warren.

* Until 8 am EDT /7 am CDT/ Saturday

* widespread rainfall is expected to continue across portions of
central Kentucky. This additional rainfall will pose a threat of
flash flooding into the overnight hours.
