... Heat advisory now in effect until 8 PM EDT /7 PM CDT/ Sunday...

* temperature... high temperatures in the afternoon will warm into
the lower to middle 90s. These temperatures combined with
dewpoints in the lower to middle 70s will produce heat index
readings in the 100 to 105 degree range this afternoon. A little
more moisture over the region Sunday will mean another day with
heat indices getting closer to the 105 degree range in the
afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Take extra precautions... if you work or spend time outside. When
possible... reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
