Thursday...

* winds... west 15 to 25 mph with gusts 45 to 50 mph.

* Timing... Wind Advisory is late tonight and Thursday, with the
strongest winds most likely during Thursday morning.

* Impacts... gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Limited visibilities will make travel very difficult.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph...
or gusts of 46 to 57 mph... are expected or occurring. Winds this
strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile
vehicles. Use extra caution.

Issued: 4:44 PM EST Mar. 1, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Patchy dense fog into early this evening...

Patchy to areas of dense fog have redeveloped across southeastern
Connecticut and the Twin Forks of Long Island.

While visibilities will mainly be between 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 miles, in
areas of dense fog visibilities will be one quarter mile or less.

Motorists should be alert for rapidly changing visibilities.
Remember to slow down, use low beam headlights, and leave plenty
of distance ahead of you in case a sudden stop is needed.
