... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am MDT
Saturday...

* affected area... Wasatch mountains and the Wasatch Plateau and
Book Cliffs.

* Snow accumulations... 4 to 8 inches, except up to 12 inches in
the Book Cliffs.

* Timing... snow will increase at the higher elevations later this
afternoon and become heavy at times during the evening. Snow
levels will lower tonight with periods of snow continuing into
Friday night before diminishing Saturday morning.

* Snow levels... near 8500 feet today falling to near 7000 feet
tonight through Friday.

* Winds... east to northeast 25 to 35 mph with higher gusts will
be possible late Friday into Saturday, especially across the
Wasatch Range.

* Impacts... occasional winter driving conditions can be expected
across high-elevation routes including Soldier Summit.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that visibilities will be limited
due to a combination of falling and blowing snow. Use caution
when traveling, especially in open areas.
