Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 6:03 PM CST Jan. 20, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until midnight CST tonight...

The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a dense fog
advisory... which is in effect until midnight CST tonight.

* Visibility... 1/4 of a mile or less.

* Impacts... drivers are encouraged to slow down and allow extra
time to reach destinations.

* Uncertainty... there is some uncertainty how fast this dense fog
will decrease in coverage late this evening and overnight as
the winds shift and become westerly. Updates to this advisory
will likely be necessary.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
