Flood Warning
Issued: 10:45 AM CDT Jun. 25, 2017 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Escatawpa river above Orange Grove.
* Until late Thursday night.
* At 10:30 am Sunday the stage was 9.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 10.0 feet by
tomorrow evening. The river will fall below flood stage Thursday
before midnight.
* Impact... at 10.0 feet... flooding of some homes and business
structures will occur along U.S. Highway 90 and subdivisions along
the river. Access roads to the river will be flooded.
* Impact... at 8.0 feet... flooding will occur at low spots along U.S.
Highway 90 from Orange Grove to Moss Point. Some residences and
business structures will be threatened.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Pascagoula river at Graham Ferry.
* Until further notice.
* At 9:45 am Sunday the stage was 17.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 18.0 feet by
Wednesday morning then begin falling.
* Impact... at 16.0 feet... river property at Cumbest Bluff will be cut
off by high water and some river roads will be impassable.
* Impact... at 15.0 feet... lower elevated homes at Cumbest Bluff are
threatened. Some river roads will be impassable.
* Impact... at 10.0 feet... access roads to the river will begin to
flood.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Pascagoula at Merrill
* from this afternoon until further notice.
* At 10 am Sunday the stage was 25.8 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 22 feet.
* Forecast to continue to rise near 26.5 feet by Tuesday morning and then begin
slowly falling.
* At 13 feet... water covers the roads in Cedar Creek Estates in northern Jackson County.
* At 14 feet... roads to Cedar Creek Estates are impassable.
* At 15 feet... water is under homes in Cedar Creek Estates.
* At 18 feet... some roads west of the river become flooded.
* At 18.5 feet... water covers roads at smith's Fish Camp in southern George County.
* At 20 feet... water covers the main Road at Plum Bluff in southern George County.
* At 23.5 feet... water is under homes in Plum Bluff Estates
* at 24 feet... streets and portions of the old business section of Merrill will become
flooded. The bridge becomes inacessible by vehicles.
* At 25 feet... flooding of some residences will occur as the level rises above 25 feet.
