* until 1245 am CDT
* at 846 PM CDT... a trained weather spotter reported flash flooding
west of Herndon where up to 6 inches of water was flowing over
County roads. Flash flooding is already occurring. The
possibility of flash flooding exists elsewhere across eastern
Rawlins and western Decatur counties where radar estimated maximum
rainfall amounts between 1.5 and 2.0 inches was indicated. Hail
with a depth of up to several inches was also reported around the
Atwood and Herndon areas.

Oberlin... Atwood... Herndon... Ludell... Dresden... Kanona and traer.
Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
