Watches & Warnings

Flash Flood Warning
Issued: 11:51 AM CDT Aug. 28, 2016 – National Weather Service

... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 200 PM CDT for
north central Pike... southeastern Adams and southwestern Brown
counties in west central Illinois...

At 1148 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated that the intensity and
coverage of showers and thunderstorms has diminished across the
warned area. Radar estimates thus far show rainfall amounts of just
over 3 inches to the northwest of Fishhook. Flash flooding remains
possible within the warned area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Beverly... Kingston... Baylis and Fishhook.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... country roads... farmland... and other low lying
spots.
