... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4 am PST Monday...

* timing: snow... moderate to heavy at times... will return by midnight
and continue into early Monday morning.

* Snow accumulations: 1 to 3 feet west of Highway 395. For
communities in the Sierra Valley and along and east of Highway
395... 10 to 20 inches.

* Winds: gusts to 40 mph may create areas of blowing and drifting
snow on Sunday.

* Impacts: dangerous conditions for outdoor activities and travel
with periods of whiteout conditions from tonight to Monday
morning over mountain passes and areas exposed to the wind
along Highway 395. Do not attempt to travel on Sunday. Stay
home... stay safe.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Avoid travel if possible, you could be stuck in your vehicle for
many hours. Do not attempt to travel on Sunday. If you must
travel, use the break in the storm this afternoon to gather
supplies, remove snow from roofs, elevated decks and near propane
tanks. Be prepared for extended power outages.
