... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Friday afternoon through
Saturday morning...

The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Winter Storm
Watch, which is in effect from Friday afternoon through Saturday
morning.

* Timing... more widespread snow will develop Friday, first in the
northern border area late Friday morning and then spreading
southward across the rest of the Front Range mountains and
foothills Friday afternoon. Snow, heavy at times, will be
possible through early Saturday morning before decreasing by mid
day.

* Snow accumulations... 8 to 16 inches possible.

* Wind/visibility... visibility less than one quarter mile at times
in heavy snow. Light winds.

* Impacts... snow and slush covered roads will likely create
hazardous travel Friday afternoon through Saturday morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...
