Winter Storm Warning
Issued: 11:10 PM MST Jan. 19, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 am MST Sunday...

* locations include the cities of... Crested Butte... Taylor
Park... Marble.

* Timing... moderate to heavy snow will occur through sunrise on
Friday. A downward trend in precipitation will occur during the
day Friday. The next system quickly arrives by late Friday
afternoon with snow continuing through Sunday morning.

* Snow accumulation... 10 to 14 inches with locally higher
amounts.

* Winds... southwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Impacts... mountain roadways will become snow packed overnight
with winter driving conditions continuing through the weekend.
Visibilities will be reduced to under a half mile at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow are
expected or occurring. Strong winds and blowing snow are also
possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
