The National Weather Service in Reno has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
southern Washoe County in western Nevada...
western Carson City in western Nevada...

* until 130 am PST Sunday

* at 650 PM PST, rain will end in the Carson Range by 730 PM with
water levels decreasing on creeks and streams leading into areas
from south Reno to Carson City. However some flooding of roads,
farmland and poorly drained urban areas will continue.

* Ongoing flooding in Washoe Valley will persist through tonight and
very likely into Sunday, as water will be slow to recede from the
valley.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Be
especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

... Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 4 am PST Sunday for
Lake Tahoe...

* timing: winds will continue through this afternoon.

* Winds: southwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 35 mph.

* Wave heights: 2 to 4 feet.

* Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to
capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions
improve.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Check lake conditions before heading out and be prepared for a
sudden increase in winds and wave heights. Consider postponing
boating activities on the lake until a day with less wind.
