The Flood Warning continues for
the Lamine river near Otterville.
* Until Tuesday morning.
* At 1:15 PM Sunday the stage was 24.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
late Monday morning.
* At 18.0 feet... some gravel roads upstream and downstream from
Otterville are under water. In addition State Highway 135 may be
overtopped by flood waters 2 miles north of Clifton City.
* At 15.0 feet... low lying Woodlands and fields along the river
flood.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Blackwater river near Blue Lick.
* Until further notice.
* At 1:45 PM Sunday the stage was 31.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 33.3 feet by
early Tuesday morning then begin falling.
* At 31.0 feet... the Missouri-Pacific Railroad tracks are overtopped.
* At 29.0 feet... livestock in pastures along the river may be
endangered. Extensive damage also occurs to cropland and pasture.
* At 24.0 feet... cropland and pastures along the river flood.

* Flood Warning for...
Cass County in west central Missouri...
Henry County in west central Missouri...
Bates County in west central Missouri...
Pettis County in central Missouri...
Cooper County in central Missouri...
Johnson County in west central Missouri...

* until 115 PM CDT Monday

* at 1228 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooding over
multiple roads in the area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lee's Summit, Grandview, Belton, Sedalia, Raymore, Warrensburg,
Harrisonville, Clinton, Boonville, Pleasant Hill, Greenwood,
peculiar, Butler, Windsor, Knob Noster, Holden, Adrian, Garden
City, Rich Hill and Whiteman Air Force Base.

Additional rainfall amounts of a quarter of an inch are possible in
the warned area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by this evening and continue to
rise to near 24.4 feet by early Monday afternoon. The river will
fall below flood stage by early Wednesday morning.
* At 21.0 feet... low-lying rural areas along the river flood.

* Until Tuesday afternoon.
* At 8:30 am Sunday the stage was 21.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 22.1 feet by this
afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage Monday afternoon.
* At 19.5 feet... the creek floods u Highway about 4 miles southeast
of Boonville.
* At 16.0 feet... low lying Woodlands and fields near the creek flood.

evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of east central Kansas and Missouri, including the
following areas, in east central Kansas, Linn KS and Miami. In
Missouri, Bates, Carroll, Cass, Chariton, Cooper, Henry,
Howard, Johnson MO, Lafayette, Pettis, Randolph, and Saline.

* Until 7 PM CDT this evening

* 2 to 4 inches of rainfall has already occurred in the watch
area, and an additional showers are expected this afternoon.
Ongoing Road closures due to high water will result in continued
flooding concerns through Sunday afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
