... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Tuesday morning through
Wednesday afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a Winter
Storm Watch, which is in effect from Tuesday morning through
Wednesday afternoon.

* Main impacts: slippery roads, low visibility. Chain restrictions
probable.

* Confidence... moderate for amounts and timing

* timing... starting Tuesday morning and peaking around mid day.
Snow levels start around 5000 feet and rise to around 7000 feet Tuesday
night into Wednesday.

* Locations... the West Slope of the northern Sierra including
Blue Canyon and Donner Summit on Interstate 80 and Echo Summit
on Highway 50.

* Snow accumulations... 4 to 8 inches above 5000 feet with 1 to 2
feet at and above pass levels.
