... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4 am PST Monday...

* timing... periods of heavy snow through Saturday morning with
heaviest snow and gusty winds Friday through Saturday morning.
Heavy snow and strong winds returning Sunday morning, lasting
through Monday morning.

* Locations... Lassen park... Interstate 80 over Donner Pass...
Highway 50 over Echo Summit... Highway 88 over Carson Pass.

* Snow accumulations... 2 to 3 feet of snow above 4000 feet
through Saturday morning with another 2 to 3 feet Saturday
evening through Monday morning.

* Main impact... snow covered roads with chain controls likely.
White out conditions at times with gusty winds especially
today and Sunday.

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather

southwestern Tuolumne County in northern California...

* until 1215 PM PST

* at 843 am PST, Doppler radar indicated areas of heavy rain that
will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Fresno, Bakersfield, Visalia, Clovis, Merced, Madera, Tulare,
Porterville, Hanford, Delano, Atwater, Los Banos, Wasco, Corcoran,
Lemoore, Sanger, Reedley, Selma, Dinuba and Arvin.

The National Weather Service in Hanford CA has issued a

* small stream Flood Advisory for...
central Fresno County in central California...
southern Tuolumne County in northern California...
western Mariposa County in central California...
central Madera County in central California...
central Tulare County in central California...

* until 415 PM PST Friday

* at 815 am PST, Doppler radar detected areas of heavy rain in
the Sierra foothills. This will cause a rise along small streams
with possible flooding today.

Additional rainfall of a half inch to 1.5 inches is likely in
the foothill region today.

Residents living near streams and creeks and other flood prone
areas should closely monitor water levels and be prepared to
move to higher ground should flooding become imminent. Flooding
is also possible on roads with possible washouts.
