Issued: 3:26 PM MST Feb. 26, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 am Monday to midnight
MST Tuesday night...

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a
Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow, which is in
effect from 6 am Monday to midnight MST Tuesday night. The Winter
Storm Watch is no longer in effect.

* Locations include... Skyway... Aspen

* timing... snow is expected to start over the higher peaks Monday
morning and become widespread and lower in elevation throughout
the day. Snow... heavy at times... will continue through Tuesday
night.

* Snow accumulation... 6 to 12 inches.

* Winds... west 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* Visibility... less than a mile at times in moderate snow and
blowing snow.

* Impacts... moderate snowfall and strong winds will quickly create
hazardous driving conditions. Mountain roadways will be icy to
snowpacked at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow and/or
blowing snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
