The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Mount Carmel.
* From Monday morning until further notice.
* At 8:45 PM Sunday the stage was 16.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tomorrow late morning and
continue to rise to near 26.8 feet by early Monday morning.
* At 26.7 feet... Wilson Road, a north-south Road in Knox County near
the confluence of the white and Wabash rivers, is flooded in The
Little Rock area in 2 or 3 places. One location the water is too
deep for vehicles. Extensive agricultural flooding progress in
areas that are not protected by levees. Three Illinois township
roads south of Illinois 1 between Keensburg and Grayville are
flooded for a total of 10 miles. Access to oil fields in the
Keensburg and Grayville are blocked by high water.

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Hazleton.
* From Monday afternoon until further notice.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to have a maximum value of 23.4
feet early Sunday morning.
* At 24.0 feet... a flood of this height causes great agricultural
damage from June through August. Some river cabin residents
evacuate. Most local roads flood. Several oil fields are
inaccessible.

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Petersburg.
* From late tonight until further notice.
* At 9:30 PM Sunday the stage was 14.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by early tomorrow and continue to
rise to near 22.7 feet by Saturday morning.
* At 23.0 feet... extensive flooding is progress affecting agricultural
and rural residential areas. Several rural County roads
extensively flooded including bottoms Rd... Brothers Rd and E.
Governor Rd in Knox County. A few residents may move out in an
area locally known as Dodge City. Several small oil fields are
inaccessible. During agricultural season much flood damage can
occur. High water isolates some river cabin residents.

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Edwardsport.
* Until Tuesday may 09.
* At 7:00 PM Sunday the stage was 15.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 22.2 feet by
Thursday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Monday
before midnight.
* At 22.9 feet... a 25 foot section of levee unit 8 failed at this
level on March 6 2011... flooding local roads behind the levee.
Flooding not nearly as bad as June 2008 levee failure. Flooding
was very close to one of the June 2008 failures.

The Flood Warning continues for the Patoka river near Princeton.
* Until Wednesday may 10.
* At 9 PM Sunday the stage was 17.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage overnight with moderate flooding
expected early Monday morning. Major flood conditions are expected
Thursday afternoon with a crest of 23.0 feet at that time.
* Impact... at 22.0 feet... flooding affects mainly farmland. Seasonal
camping trailers closest to the river become inundated.

The Flood Warning continues for the Wabash River at New Harmony.
* From late Monday night until further notice.
* At 8 PM Sunday the stage was 12.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage Tuesday morning and
crest near 19.8 feet Tuesday, may 9th.
* Impact... at 20.0 feet... parts of northern New Harmony begin to flood
and sandbagging becomes necessary in town.
