Issued: 2:47 PM MST Feb. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6 PM this
evening to 5 PM MST Tuesday...

* locations include... Gateway, Nucla, Cortez, Dove Creek, and
Mancos.

* Timing... scattered showers today will become widespread late
this afternoon and this evening, continuing overnight. Snow,
heavy at times, will continue into Tuesday night.

* Snow accumulation... 2 to 6 inches. Heavier amounts are possible
at higher locations in Mesa Verde National Park.

* Winds... west 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* Visibility... less than a mile at times in moderate snow and
blowing snow.

* Impacts... moderate snowfall and strong winds will create
hazardous driving conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow and/or
blowing snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving.
