... Dense fog advisory in effect until 10 am EST /9 am CST/ this
morning...

The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a dense fog
advisory... which is in effect until 10 am EST /9 am CST/ this
morning.

* Event... visibilities will drop frequently below one quarter of
a mile in the advisory area.

* Timing... through 10 EST/9 am CST

* impacts... sudden drops in visibility will make driving hazardous.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

... Locally dense fog possible overnight into mid-Monday morning...

Fog development will develop across the region this evening... and
continue overnight through the morning rush hour commute. Locally
dense fog is possible... particularly in the usual fog prone
areas... with visiblities dropping to one-half to one-quarter of a
mile.

If you have to travel overnight... slow down when driving through
foggy areas and leave enough distance between you and the vehicle
in front of you. Be vigilant and be ready to adjust travel speeds
when traveling in and out of foggy areas. Give yourself extra time
to reach your destination, and put your headlights on low beam
when driving through the dense fog.
