Special Statement
Issued: 9:06 AM CST Feb. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Patchy dense fog expected through the remainder of the
morning hours...

Areas of patchy dense fog remain over portions of the southern
Tennessee Valley and plateau counties with visibilities reduced to
less than 1/4 mile in some locations. Areas most susceptible to
the lingering fog include low lying areas such as valleys, lakes,
and river basins. Conditions will continue to slowly improve
through the remainder of the morning hours.

When traveling in these areas, be prepared for sharply reduced
visibilities and allow extra driving time in order to reach your
destination.
