The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a

* small stream flood advisory for rapid rises for...
central Ouray County in southwestern Colorado...
northeastern San Miguel County in southwestern Colorado...

* until midnight MDT

* at 857 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the
advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
loghill Village.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Pleasant Valley
creek... Dallas creek... Uncompahgre river and alkali creek.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
