... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 300 PM CDT for
northwestern Christian... south central Greene and southeastern
Lawrence counties...

At 1037 am CDT... local law enforcement reported flash flooding in
the warned area. Over three inches of rain has already fallen along
the Goose Creek and Honey Creek headwater basins in southeast
Lawrence County. Honey Creek was flooding a section of farm Road
2170. Other farm roads are expected to flood late this morning and
early this afternoon.

This warning includes but is not limited to the following low water
crossings...
Route p at Spring Creek north of Verona.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property. Do not attempt to cross
swiftly flowing waters or waters of unknown depth by foot or by
automobile.

... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 200 PM CDT for
central Greene County...

At 1027 am CDT... the Department of Transportation reported flash
flooding over a section of Highway cc at the little Pomme de Terre
River. Several other farm roads across central Greene County were
also experiencing flooding. Up to three inches of rain has already
fallen and flash flooding is already occurring.

This warning includes but is not limited to the following low water
crossings...
Route cc west of Fair Grove at the Pomme de Terre River...
farm Road 175 at the SAC river 5 miles southwest of Fair Grove...

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to travel across
flooded roads. Find an alternate Route. It takes only a few inches
of swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles away.
