... Flood Warning extended until Monday afternoon... the Flood Warning continues
for
the Mobile river at Barry steam plant
* from Sunday morning until Monday afternoon.
* At 11pm Thursday the stage was 8.1 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Sunday morning and continue to rise near
12.1 feet by Sunday early afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage by Monday afternoon.
* At 12 feet... considerable overflow of lowlands in the area. A few County
roads become flooded.

The Bayou Sara at Saraland
* until further notice.
* At 10am Thursday the stage was 5.1 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 4 feet.
* The river will continue rising to near 6.1 feet by early Sunday morning then
begin falling.
* At 6 feet... flooding of residences in the area will occur.

The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* flood advisory for...
northwestern Mobile County in southwestern Alabama...
Washington County in southwestern Alabama...

* until 430 am CDT

* at 130 am CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
minor flooding in the advisory area. One to one and a half inches
of rain has already fallen with these showers.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Citronelle, Chatom, Saint Stephens, Wagarville, LeRoy, Deer Park
and Tibbie.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. Never attempt to cross a flooded roadway.

... Coastal flood advisory now in effect until 8 PM CDT Friday...
... Coastal Flood Warning is cancelled...

The National Weather Service in Mobile has cancelled the coastal
Flood Warning. A coastal flood advisory is now in effect.

* Coastal flooding... 2 to 3 feet of water above normally dry
ground can be expected.

* Impacts... moderate flooding impacts along coastal areas such
as the U.S. Highway 90 causeway... north side of the dog River
Bridge and other low lying areas along the shore.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Warning through tonight means that flooding is
occurring or imminent. Coastal residents in the warned area
should be alert for rising water, and take appropriate action to
protect life and property.

A coastal flood advisory for Friday indicates that onshore winds
and tides will combine to generate flooding of low areas along
the shore.
