... A line of strong thunderstorms will affect central Isle of
Wight... northeastern Southampton... York... Sussex... James City...
Gloucester... northern Northampton... Charles City... central Prince
George... southeastern New Kent... Mathews... and Surry counties... the
city of Poquoson... the city of Hampton... the city of Newport News and
the city of Williamsburg...

At 447 PM EST, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from Adkins store to near Jarratt. Movement
was east at 50 mph.

Wind gusts in excess of 40 mph and dime size hail are possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Newport News, Hampton, Williamsburg, Mathews, Smithfield, Charles
City, Gloucester courthouse, Waverly, Wakefield, Claremont, Surry,
Langley AFB, Queens Lake, Disputanta, Norge, Gloucester Point,
Virginia Institute for marine sciences, Toano, Hampton University and
College of William and Mary.

Strong wind gusts are possible with these storms. These wind gusts
are capable of knocking down tree limbs... small or weakened trees...
and blowing around trash cans... potted plants... lawn furniture and
other light outdoor objects.
