Issued: 3:39 PM MST Jan. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 5 am MST
Tuesday...

* snow accumulations... 2 to 4 inches at elevations near or below
7500 feet with 4 to 8 inches possible over the higher peaks of
the Southwest Mountains.

* Timing... snow will increase this evening as a cold front
crosses from west to east. Snow should taper off early Tuesday
morning.

* Winds... west 10 to 20 mph with gusts near 30 mph.

* Snow levels... dropping to valley bottoms behind the cold
frontal passage.

* Local impacts... roads may become snowpacked and icy. Areas of
reduced visibilities in blowing snow will add to the hazardous
travel conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
visibilities will be restricted due to a combination of falling
and blowing snow.
