... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM MDT Friday...

* location... middle and lower Rio Grande Valley including the
Albuquerque Metro area, as well as the upper Tularosa basin
and southcentral Highlands.

* Winds... west and southwest 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph
through the evening. Winds will increase later tonight and last
through Friday. Speeds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph.

* Timing... steady breezes during the overnight hours before
increasing late tonight and lasting through Friday.


* Visibility... dropping to 3 to 5 miles at times in dust prone
locations.

* Local impacts... unsecured objects may become airborne. Power
outages will be possible. Cross winds will be dangerous,
especially for high profile vehicles.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Motorists should exercise caution while travelling. Sudden gusts
of wind may cause you to lose control of your vehicle. Extra
attention should be given to cross winds.

* area and timing... middle Rio Grande Valley, including
Albuquerque Friday afternoon and early evening.

* 20 foot winds... northwest at 20 to 30 mph with occasional
gusts to 45 mph.

* Relative humidity... 10 to 15 percent.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
