Flood Warning
Issued: 9:34 AM EDT May. 26, 2017 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Wateree river at Lake Wateree
* from this afternoon to Monday morning... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 8 am Friday the stage was 99.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 100.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage early this
afternoon and continue to rise to 100.1 feet this evening. The river
will fall below flood stage by Sunday may 28.
* At 100.4 feet... the water begins to overflow one or more marinas
along the northwest shores. The piers on the wildlife Road bridge
over Singleton creek become submerged.
