Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 5:32 PM PST Feb. 17, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 PM Sunday to 10 PM
PST Monday...

The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory... which is in effect from 6 PM Sunday to 10 PM
PST Monday.

* Timing... strong winds and light snow developing Sunday evening.
Snow levels lowering from around 5000 feet Sunday evening to
2500-3000 feet by Monday morning.

* Snow... snow and ice covered roads will be possible, including
the busy mountain passes along interstates 8 and 15. Light
snowfall amounts of a dusting to 3 inches will be possible, with
the highest totals above 4000 feet.

* Wind... strong westerly winds with gusts up to 55 mph will bring
very low wind chills and will make travel hazardous, especially
for high-profile vehicles.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow will cause
travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited
visibilities... and use caution while driving.
