... Heat advisory remains in effect until 7 PM CDT this evening...

* temperature... temperatures climbing into the mid and upper 90s
will combine with high humidity to produce heat indices of 106
to 110 degrees this afternoon.

* Impacts... heat related illnesses may be possible for those
outdoors in unshaded areas without proper precautions taken.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected.
This combination of hot temperatures and high humidity, will
combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Take extra precautions if you work or spend time
outside. When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early
morning or evening. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing
when possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun, and
check up on relatives and neighbors.
