... Lake Wind Advisory in effect until 4 PM CST this afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a lake Wind
Advisory, which is in effect until 4 PM CST this afternoon.

* Event... strong and gusty winds of 15-20 mph with gusts to 25-30
mph producing a rough chop on area waterways. Southwest winds
shifting to the northwest in wake of the cold front.

* Timing... through 4 PM CST, with the winds tapering off in the
afternoon.

* Impact... winds will likely produce rough chop on area lakes
and waterways, which may be hazardous to boaters.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
