for
the Blackwater river near Baker
* until Saturday evening.
* At 8pm Friday the stage was 13.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 11 feet.
* The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by tomorrow early
afternoon.
* At 9.5 feet... Kennedy and Peaden bridges are flooded upstream.
* At 11 feet... minor flooding of secondary roads and lowlands from around
Baker to downstream of Baker.
* At 14 feet... flooding of East Park in Baker.

* At 10 feet... flooding of lowlands and some fish camps will occur.

Flash Flood Watch
Issued: 8:22 PM CDT Jun. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Flash Flood Watch in effect through late Saturday night...

The National Weather Service in Mobile has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include portions of Alabama and northwest
Florida, including the following areas, in Alabama, Baldwin
central, Baldwin coastal, Baldwin inland, Butler, Conecuh,
Escambia, Monroe, and Wilcox. In northwest Florida, Escambia
coastal, Escambia inland, Santa Rosa coastal, and Santa Rosa
inland.

* Through late Saturday night

* additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches with locally higher
amounts possible will fall on saturated ground conditions. These
additional rainfall amounts may result in flash flooding. In
addition to the risk of flash flooding, many area rivers are
now in or will soon go into minor to moderate flood.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. This is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
