Wind Advisory
Issued: 2:39 PM EST Jan. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM EST this evening...

* locations... north and central Georgia

* winds... northwest 20 to 25 mph with gusts of 25 to 35 mph...
although in the higher elevations of the mountains winds could
gust to near 40 mph.

* Timing... until 7 PM... however winds may remain gusty into
tonight in the higher terrain.

* Impacts... these winds may break tree branches and down weaker
trees... particularly those in saturated soils due to recent
heavy rainfall. Unsecured outdoor items may be blown around.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of at least 20 mph or wind gusts
of at least 35 mph mph are expected. Winds this strong can make
driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use
extra caution.
