The Flood Warning continues for
The Bayou Sara at Saraland
* until further notice.
* At 9am Friday the stage was 4.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 4 feet.
* The river will continue rising to near 5 feet by early Monday morning then
begin falling.
* At 5 feet... street flooding east of the Railroad becomes widespread.

The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* flood advisory for...
northwestern Mobile County in southwestern Alabama...
George County in southeastern Mississippi...
Stone County in southeastern Mississippi...

* until 930 am CDT

* at 628 am CDT, Doppler radar indicated showers producing locally
heavy rain that will be capable of producing ponding of water on
area roadways and minor flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Wiggins, Lucedale, Chunchula, Perkinston, McHenry, Gulfcrest,
Semmes, Tanner Williams and Wilmer.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* flood advisory for...
central Mobile County in southwestern Alabama...
west central Baldwin County in southwestern Alabama...

* until 745 am CDT

* at 449 am CDT, Doppler radar indicated showers and isolated
thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall from near Tillmans Corner
to near Bay Minette. A quick one to one and a half inches of rain
may fall, which could lead to flooding in urban and low lying
areas and ponding of water on area roadways.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Midtown Mobile, downtown Mobile, Prichard, Tillmans Corner, Bay
Minette, Theodore, Chickasaw, Spanish Fort, Stapleton, i65 and i165
and i10 and i65.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through late tonight...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of southwest Alabama, including the following areas,
Mobile central, Mobile coastal, and Mobile inland.

* Through late tonight

* additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches with locally
higher amounts possible will fall on saturated ground
conditions. These additional rainfall amounts may result in
flash flooding. In addition to the risk of flash flooding,
many area rivers are now in or will soon go into minor to
moderate flood.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
