Issued: 8:15 PM CDT Jun. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Biloxi river near Lyman.
* Until Saturday evening.
* At 7:45 PM Friday the stage was 14.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Saturday afternoon.
* Impact... at 14.0 feet... at 14 feet homes on lower fisherman trail
will begin to flood and lower River Road will be impassable.
Driving on Loraine Road will be hazardous due to the high water.
* Impact... at 13.0 feet... Loraine Road will begin to flood at 13 feet
making driving hazardous. River Road near Three Rivers Road bridge
will begin to flood.
* Impact... at 12.0 feet... River Road near Three Rivers Road bridge
will begin to flood.
* Impact... at 9.0 feet... the river will be bankfull at the Three
Rivers Road bridge.

... Flood Warning extended until late Sunday night... the Flood Warning
continues for
the Wolf River above Gulfport.
* Until late Sunday night.
* At 7:45 PM Friday the stage was 10.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Sunday evening.
* Impact... at 10.0 feet... Bells Ferry Road will be closed within a
mile of the bridge as the Road will be covered by swift moving
river current.
* Impact... at 9.0 feet... Bells Ferry Road will be impassable with deep
water on the east bridge approach.
* Impact... at 8.0 feet... Bells Ferry Road will begin to flood. There
will be water over the access Road just upstream of the bridge and
the Road will become impassable very quickly.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Biloxi river near Wortham.
* Until further notice.
* At 10:00 am Friday the stage was 16.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river has already crested and is expected to fall
below flood stage by early this afternoon.
* Impact... at 16.0 feet... Palmer creek and west Wortham roads will be
under water and driving will be hazardous.

... Flash Flood Watch in effect through this evening...

The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of southeast Louisiana and
Mississippi, including the following areas, in southeast
Louisiana, Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East
Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, lower Jefferson, lower
Lafourche, lower Plaquemines, lower St. Bernard, lower
Terrebonne, northern Tangipahoa, Orleans, Pointe Coupee,
southern Tangipahoa, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St.
John The Baptist, St. Tammany, upper Jefferson, upper Lafourche,
upper Plaquemines, upper St. Bernard, upper Terrebonne,
Washington, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana. In
Mississippi, Amite, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Pearl River,
Pike, Walthall, and Wilkinson.

* Through midnight tonight

* rainfall accumulations of 2 to 3 inches are possible through
this evening over areas that remain saturated from previous
rains. In addition to the flash flooding potential expect to see
new rises on area rivers causing or extending the flooding
along several rivers.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
