* until 545 PM EDT

* at 518 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Ponte Vedra
Beach, moving south at 25 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Ponte Vedra Beach, Palm Valley, sawgrass, Nocatee, south Ponte
Vedra, Durbin and guana river State Park.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread
significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediately
likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of
a building. This storm may cause serious injury and significant
property damage.

Damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring
with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of

for northwestern St. Johns... northeastern Clay and southeastern Duval
counties...

At 509 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Fruit Cove to Doctors Inlet, moving south at 25
mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Orange Park, Green Cove Springs, unf, mandarin, Fruit Cove, world
Golf Village, Fleming Island, baymeadows, Durbin and Oakleaf
Plantation.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

building.

* until 700 PM EDT

* at 501 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain which will cause flooding. Up to two inches of rain has
already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Jacksonville, Orange Park, Jacksonville international Arpt, unf,
mandarin, Fruit Cove, Arlington, baymeadows, Cisco gardens and
Ortega.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the
warned area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as

eastern Nassau County in northeastern Florida...
Duval County in northeastern Florida...

* until 630 PM EDT

* at 425 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding. Overflowing poor
drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Jacksonville, Fernandina Beach, Jacksonville international Arpt,
unf, Arlington, Yulee, Neptune Beach, baymeadows, Cisco gardens and
Ortega.

Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in minor flooding.
