The National Weather Service in League City has issued a

* flood advisory for...
northeastern Harris County in southeastern Texas...

* until 645 am CDT.

* At 547 am CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of thunderstorms
produce rainfall rates between 1.5 and 2.5 inches per hour moving
into the area from the west. Rain rates this high may cause minor
flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
northwestern Pasadena, northwestern Baytown, Deer Park, Humble,
Galena Park, Jacinto City, Cloverleaf, Channelview, greater
greenspoint, Highlands, Barrett, Aldine, Crosby, Bush
Intercontinental Airport, Northshore, Houston Ship Channel,
hunterwood, Atascocita, Lake Houston dam and Lake Houston.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
