... Coastal flood advisory remains in effect from 9 PM this evening
to 1 am EDT Friday...

* location... lower Cape Fear River including downtown Wilmington.

* Coastal flooding... the tide gauge in downtown Wilmington is
expected to reach 6.2 ft MLLW.

* Timing... between 9 PM and 1 am... peaking around 11 PM.

* Impacts... flooding will affect the North Carolina battleship
parking lot and battleship drive. Water will rise through the
storm drains and spread onto Water Street near the Market street
intersection to a depth just under 1 foot.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal flood advisory indicates that tides and recent rainfall
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the river.
