The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a

* flood advisory for...
south central Orange County in east central Florida...

* until 700 PM EDT

* at 557 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Doppler radar rainfall estimates indicate two to two and a half
inches of rain have fallen just east of Orlando International
Airport and the Lake Nona area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lake Nona, Avalon Park, Orlando International Airport, Azalea Park
and Conway.

Additional rainfall of one to two inches is expected over the
advisory area. This will result in minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this storm.

Orlando, Kissimmee, Buena Ventura lakes, East Lake toho and Oak
Ridge.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
