Watches & Warnings

Heat Advisory
Issued: 10:55 AM EDT Jul. 28, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Heat advisory remains in effect until 8 PM EDT this evening...

* temperatures... highs will reach 96 to 100.

* Heat indices... 105 to 109 degrees.

* Impacts... the accumulative effects of the heat and humidity
will lead to an increased risk of heat related illnesses...
especially among vulnerable individuals such as the sick...
the elderly... those exerting themselves outdoors... and those
without air conditioning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that hot temperatures and high humidity
will create a situation in which heat illnesses are likely unless
precautions are taken. Limit time outdoors... especially this
afternoon. Wear loose fitting and light colored clothing. Take
frequent breaks in the shade... in air conditioning... or near a
fan. Drink plenty of water.
