Issued: 5:40 PM CST Dec. 2, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Coastal Flood Advisory in effect until 11 PM CST this
evening...

The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a
coastal Flood Advisory... which is in effect until 11 PM CST this
evening.

* Coastal flooding... actual tide levels will run around 2 feet
above mean sea level through this evening. High tide at bob Hall
pier will occur around 630 PM CST... with high tide at Port
Aransas at 708 PM.

* Timing... between 5 PM and 11 PM.

* Impacts... persistent water levels will likely reach the dunes
of coastal Nueces and Kleberg counties. Minor beach flooding
and minor erosion will continue to be possible. The ability to
drive along the beaches will range from limited to impossible.
Lowest areas of North Beach in Corpus Christi and along Laguna
shores drive in Flour Bluff may also be impacted.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
