Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 4:51 AM EST Feb. 28, 2017 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a

* flood advisory for...
northeastern Palm Beach County in southeastern Florida...

* until 745 am EST

* at 448 am EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to training
heavy showers. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Doppler radar estimates indicate that up to three inches of rain
have already fallen with an additional one to two inches possible
as showers train over the same areas over the next few hours.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
West Palm Beach, Boynton Beach, Wellington, Jupiter and Palm Beach
Gardens.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses
as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
