Special Statement
Issued: 7:50 AM EDT May. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

... South Florida roads may be impacted by smoke and fog this
morning...

Patches of thick smoke and/or fog are still present over interior
portions of South Florida. Motorists on roads traversing wetlands
like US 41 (tamiami trail), US 27 (okeechobee road), sr 997 (krome
avenue), and Interstate 75 (alligator alley) should use low beam
headlights and be prepared to slow down if they encounter banks of
fog and/or smoke. Area wildfires continue to burn and could cause
reductions of visibility through mid-morning.
